Exploring music is something J.Sun has been doing for the past 10 years, so it made sense for him to delve into the electronica movement sooner or later. J.Sun grew up listening to the only music he had around, his dad's selection, which dated all the way back to the 50's on up to the 80's. He grooved in his basement to The B-52's, Michael Jackson, Gloria Estefan, Madonna, The Beatles, Prince and much more. He would get lost in the music, surrounded by the vast vinyl collection he would go through. Flash forward to now, J.Sun has had many years of experience playing such instruments such as piano, viola and cello and can read music very well, but could not get those synthesizers out of his mind from his past. He had been around acoustic music so long, he wanted to take a break and pick up the very instruments which created some of the music he was so inspired by as a child. These included electronic instruments like the Korg Triton, Roland 505, and programs such as Ableton Live and Reason. Today, J.Sun looks forward to creating new sounds and experimenting with samples to create fresh new tracks for his upcoming EP.
